Permits
Historic Columbia State Park

All commercial filming, videotaping, and still photography in Tuolumne County requires a permit issued by the Community Development Department. The process requires submission of three forms: one that lists the nature, location and dates of the production, a second that shows proof of insurance, and a third that indemnifies the county of Tuolumne.

With this information, simple permits can usually be processed within 48 hours. Certain activities, such as a road closure or filming in a forest or grassland, may require additional fees for traffic control or a fire monitor, so be sure to contact the film commissioner as early as possible. For your convenience, the forms are available here in PDF format.
